Join us for an incredible two-part photography workshop at Garden of the Gods. Widely known as one of the most beautiful public parks in the world! Both Daniel and Jae have an exceptional understanding of this iconic landscape and will guide you in capturing its dramatic rock formations during Sunrise and Sunset. Our goal is to help you capture creative images through advanced composition and technical skills. Please make sure to bring water and dress appropriately for the weather forecast.

Overview

This workshop focuses on capturing the dramatic scenery of Garden of the Gods Park. We will cover advanced composition techniques while also teaching technical skills such as focus stacking, HDR photography, and proper exposure. Our goal is to help photographers elevate their images and walk away with both new knowledge and powerful photos.

Sunrise

- Meeting time: 5:30 AM - Meeting location:Main Parking Lot (P2) inside the park

Processing Session (local coffee shop)

- Meeting time: 8:30-10:30 AM

Sunset

- Meeting time: 5:30 PM

- Meeting location: TBD or Main Parking Lot (P2)

Mirrorless or DSLR camera (required) Range of wide angle to telephoto zoom lenses (suggested) Tripod (suggested) Extra camera batteries and memory cards (suggested) Appropriate clothing for weather forecast (required) Comfortable athletic or hiking shoes (required) Water (required)

Photo Processing Session

We will meet up after the morning session at a coffee shop and together we will work through processing photos from the sunrise captures that morning.  So bring your laptops or just join us in this dynamic raw photo editing process.

Endurance Level

The total walking distance for any shoot, Sunrise or Sunset, will typically be around ½ to 1 mile.  The hiking trails can be rough and inconsistent in some areas of the park.
